Dia 2 de Janeiro,10:00 da manhã.

Então,no dia do ano novo a Stella NÃO FALOU COM O RAY. Cara,ela consegue ser bem cabeça dura quando quer. Mas uma hora ou outra ela vai ter que falar com ele,quer dizer,ela não pode ignorar o Ray a vida toda. Ou será que pode? Tá,vou parar de pensar nisso.
Enfim,no momento eu e a Stella estamos sentadas no sofá da sala assistindo hora de aventura na T.V. . Esse desenho pode não ter nenhuma lógica,mas é um dos meus favoritos!

Stella 2-que horas são hein?
Stella-acho que umas 10:00.
Stella 2-Tá,daqui a 20 minutos eu vou sair.
Stella-o que é que você tem pra fazer na quarta feira as 10:20 da manhã? Já esqueceu que a gente só tem aula de novo dia 10?
Stella 2- Claro que... Espera aí,dia 10? Mas eu achei que as aulas só voltavam em fevereiro! Eu preciso de mais tempo pra me preparar pro ensino médio!
Stella-Calma aí apressadinha! Tá maluca? o ano letivo nem acabou aina! em junho,se você passar nas provas finais aí sim vai pro ensino médio! E,bem que eu queria que o winter break durasse até fevereiro,mas nem todos os sonhos se realizam né?
Stella 2-Cara,o calendário americano é muito confuso.
Stella-logo logo você se acostuma. Mas,você ainda não me falou o que tem pra fazer as 10:20.
Stella 2-nada muito importante,só vou andar de skate com o Jake.
Stella-vai sair com o seu namoradinho de novo?
Stella 2-ok,eu vou te falar pela milésima vez: Nós somos SÓ AMIGOS.
Stella-umm,com certeza.
Stella 2-Meu Deus,você consegue ser muito chata as vezes.

Opa.Acho que foi o momento errado de dizer aquilo,porque a Mo e a Olivia acabaram de chegar aqui na casa da Stella...

Stella 2-olha só já são 10:20! -eu disse olhando pro meu celular e andando rápido até a porta- Oi Mo,oi Olivia,a gente se vê mais tarde no ensaio tá? tchauzinho,já que eu não tenho nada haver com essa história,tenham uma boa conversa hein!

Só que minha fuga deu tão certo quanto o Charlie tentando entrar pro time de futebol. Olivia segurou um dos meus braços,Mo segurou o outro,e elas me puxaram de volta pra sala.

Olivia-Stella Yamada,que história é essa de você gostar do Ray?
Stella-Tá bom,você tá parecendo o Brenigan me chamando pelo meu nome completo,isso me assusta um pouco.
Mo-Stella!
Stella-o que? Agora eu tenho que ficar explicando tudo pra vocês é?
Stella 2-Tá,e eu posso saber porque eu tenho que ficar aqui se eu não tenho nada haver com essa história?
Olivia-shhh,a gente já chega lá. Stella explica isso!
Stella-valeu por isso hein prima!
Stella 2-por favor,não me mate enquanto eu estiver dormindo!
Stella -Ahh gente,é só que,eu posso ter uma pequena queda pelo Ray. Pronto falei,felizes?
Mo-É só isso?

Mo sabe muito bem quando alguém está mentindo. Não como esconder tipo,nada dela. Eu e Stella nos olhamos. Ela devia estar pensando se contava ou não que beijou o Ray. Se ela contasse,as meninas provavelmente iriam ter um surto psicótico,e se ela não contasse,com toda a certeza elas dariam um jeito de descobrir.

So in the New Year's Day Stella DIDN'T TALKED WITH RAY. Dude, she can be quite stubborn when she wants. But sooner or later she'll have to talk to him, I mean, she can'T ignore Ray forever. Or can she? Okay, I'll stop thinking about it.
Anyway, at the moment Stella and I are sitting on the sofa watching Adventure Time on TV. This cartoon may have no logic, but it is one of my favorites!

Stella 2--Yeah, in 20 minutes I'll leave.

Mo knows very well when someone is lying. We can't hide anything from her. Stella and I looked at each other. She must be wondering if she tells or not that she had kissed Ray. If she tells, the girls would probably go crazy , and if she doesn't tell, for sure they would find out .

Stella 2 POV.

Dia 31 de Dezembro,10:00 da manhã.

A festa estava combinada. Como o esperado,Mo chamou o Scott,que chamou o Ray,e por esse motivo,todo mundo teve direito a chamar 1 pessoa pra ir também,mas no final das contas,a única outra pessoa além da Mo que chamou alguém pra ir fui eu. De última hora,liguei pro Jake,que disse que os únicos planos de ano novo dele eram assistir algum filme na tv,e comer pizza,então ele topou na hora ir pra nossa festa. Os pais da Stella deixaram a festa ser lá em casa,já que,eles iriam sair na noite de ano novo,e os irmãozinhos chatos da Stella estavam na casa de uns amigos. A gente combinou que todo mundo começasse a chegar as 5 da tarde. Stella estava nervosa desde o dia em que eu disse pra ela que devia conversar com o Ray. Eu não culpo ela. Você odeia uma pessoa a sua vida toda,e do nada beija ela num baile,e começa a gostar dela. Isso é um pouco drástico demais. Conhecendo minha prima como eu conheço,eu sei que esse é o tipo de situação que não vai se resolver facilmente.

Quase todo mundo já chegou. Só falta chegar Mo,Scott e Ray. Stella e Charlie estão na sala jogando guitar hero. Wen e Olivia estão sentados no sofá vendo vídeos no laptop da Olivia. Eu e Jake estamos sentados no quintal,vendo a neve cair e conversando.

Stella 2-A Stella ficou mó nervosa de ter que sair na neve pra ir na Padaria outro dia. Eu nunca me canso de ver a neve caindo.
Jake-Sei lá,depois de algum tempo a gente se acostuma com a neve. Não entendo o que você vê de tão fascinante nisso.
Stella 2- Tente morar num lugar onde nunca nevou por 15 anos,e você vai me entender.
Jake-Nunca nevou na sua cidade?
Stella 2- Não. A gente passa a infância inteira vendo especiais de natal onde as crianças brincam na neve,e notícias na tv sobre nevascas,e desejando que algum dia a gente possa fazer bonecos de neve também.
Jake-Uau,que profundo.
Stella 2-É.
-silêncio constrangedor de alguns segundos-
Jake-Porque sua prima tá estranha?
Stella 2-Se eu contar,ela me manda de volta pro Brasil pelo correio. Mais tarde você vai descobrir,é só prestar atenção na provável confusão que isso ainda vai causar.
Jake-ahh... E,você?
Stella 2-Eu o que?
Jake-sei lá,tá menos animada do que o normal.
Stella 2-Ahh,é que,sei lá,eu geralmente amo ano novo,e toda essa festa,e tal... Mas esse ano,não me animei tanto assim.
Jake-Porque?
Stella 2-Olha,a 4 meses atrás,eu estava na minha cidadezinha chata,sendo expulsa de escolas,e tocando violão no meu quarto. E agora,eu estou em Rhode Island,tocando em uma banda,vendo neve,e saindo com meus amigos. Muita coisa mudou em muito pouco tempo,e sabe,essa história de "ano novo" me assusta um pouco agora. É como se,o ano inteiro,tudo o que eu fiz,tudo o que aconteceu,tudo o que mudou,se resumisse no dia de hoje,e quando for meia noite,se esse dia não tiver valido a pena,seria como se,eu tivesse desperdiçado um ano todo.

December 31st, 10:00 am.

The party was going to happen. As expected, Mo called Scott, who called Ray, and for this reason, everyone had the right to call one person to go too, but in the end, the only other person besides Mo who called someone to go was I. Last minute, I called  Jake, who said that the only plans he got for New Year were watching some movie on TV, and eating pizza, so he liked the idea of going to our party. Stella's parents tld us the party could be at our house ,since they would go out on New Year's night,and Stella's annoying little brothers were in the house of some friends.We told everyone that they could arrive at 5 pm. Stella was nervous since the day I told her she should talk to Ray. I don't blame her. You hate a person your whole life, and suddenly, you kiss this person at a dance . This is a little too drastic. Knowing my cousin as I know, I know this is the kind of situation that will not be solved easily.

5:32 p.m.

Almost everyone has arrived. Only ones that didn't arrived yet are Mo, Scott and Ray . Stella and Charlie are in the living room playing guitar hero. Wen and Olivia are sitting on the couch watching videos on Olivia's laptop. Jake and I are sitting in the backyard, watching the snow fall and talking.

Stella 2-Stella was so nervous about having to go out in the snow to go in Bakery the other day. I never get tired of seeing the snow falling.
Jake-I don't know, after a while you get used to the snow. I don't understand what you see so fascinating about it.
Stella 2 - Try to live in a place where it never snowed for 15 years, and you will understand me.
Jake-it never snowed in your city?
Stella 2 - No. We spend the entire childhood watching Christmas specials where children play in the snow, and news on tv about blizzards, and wishing that someday we can make snowmen too.

Stella 2-Look , 4 months ago, I was in my boring town, being expelled from schools, and playing guitar in my room. And now, I'm in Rhode Island, playing in a band, seeing snow, and hanging out with my friends. A lot has changed in a very short time, and you know, this whole "new year" thing scares me a bit now. It's like, all year, all I've done, everything that happened, everything that changed is summed up on this day, and when it is midnight, if that day has not been worth it, would be like, I had wasted a whole year.

Dia 29 de Dezembro,15:30.

4 dias depois do Natal,e a neve não parava de cair. A única coisa que eu fiz durante esse tempo,foi ficar sentada lá fora debaixo de uma árvore vendo a neve,e curtindo meu presente de Natal. Pois é,os meus tios fizeram uma surpresa,e compraram um ukelele pra mim,e um pra Stella. Nós duas começamos a aprender a tocar,e em 4 dias,já sabíamos tocar hey soul sister quase inteira. Mas ao contrario de mim,Stella não parecia se importar muito com neve.

Stella-Ei,o que você acha de a gente organizar uma festa de ano novo com a galera da banda? -disse ela sentando no chão,debaixo da árvore-
Stella 2-parece uma boa ideia,eu acho.
Stella-só que,a parte ruim é que a Mo com certeza vai se recusar a ir se não convidarmos o Scott. E o Scott com certeza vai trazer o... Ray.
Stella 2-sobre o Ray... Já tem quase 4 semanas que vocês dois não se falam,ou brigam,ou tentam matar um ao outro. Segundo a Olivia,com todo o histórico de ódio mútuo,e limonadas cuspidas na cara,e aquela vez que ele apareceu pra provocar a gente enquanto a gente ensaiava.... Isso tudo me parece bem estranho.
Stella-É.. Então... É que... Isso não é nada...
Stella 2-Qual é Stella,quando você começa a gaguejar eu sei que você tá mentindo.
Stella-Aff. Eu te odeio.
Stella 2- Eu sei que você me ama,prima. Agora fala logo,vai!
Stella-Se você contar pra alguém,eu juro que te mando de volta por Brasil!
Stella 2-Tá bom,eu juro que não conto pra ninguém.
Stella-Então... No dia do baile,tipo,depois da nossa apresentação... Eu e Ray ficamos conversando,e daí ele me chamou pra dançar...
Stella 2-E aí....
Stella-E aí.... A gente meio que se beijou....
Stella 2-Pera... Você.... E o Ray... Tipo,vocês dois.... Stella Yamada e Ray Beech? Meu cérebro bugou agora. Você tá gostando dele,né?
Stella- De onde você tirou essa ideia idiota e absurda?
Stella 2-em 1º lugar,vocês se beijaram. E em 2º lugar,você está evitando ele. Te conhecendo como eu te conheço,você teria agido como se nada tivesse acontecido logo no dia seguinte se não estivesse afim dele.

Stella 2-tá,você tem 2 opções se essa tal festa de ano novo rolar mesmo. Ou você continua a ignorar o Ray,ou você vai lá,conversa civilizadamente com ele,e diz que tá gostando dele,que quer namorar,tanto faz.
Stella-Você é muito chata sabia?
Stella 2-Sabia. Acho que puxei de você! -logo depois de dizer essa frase,Stella jogou uma bola de neve na minha cara-
Stella 2-nossa,amor de família é uma coisa tão linda né?

Olivia-Stella,não vai ficar nervosa agora. Calma,por favor,ele já vai chegar,eu recebi uma mensagem dele a alguns minutos,falando que ele ia se atrasar um pouco,então relaxa.
Stella-você podia ter me avisado isso tipo,a 5 minutos atrás.
Charlie-Gente,por favor,concentração,em 8 minutos temos uma apresentação,parem de discutir aí!
Stella 2-Amém! é um milagre de Natal! Ele disse alguma coisa que faz sentido! Muito obrigada Papai Noel!
Charlie-Ok,Ok,vai me zoando mesmo,isso ainda vai ter troco!
Wen-oi oi galera! desculpem pelo atraso! -disse Wen enquanto entrava correndo pela porta da frente da Escola- Espero que a Stella não tenha tentado estrangular ninguém porque eu demorei pra chegar.
Mo-imagina,ela ficou super calma,como sempre!

Então,corremos até o ginásio,e amém,a apresentação deu certo. A galera que estava assistindo aplaudiu de pé!

Stella-então,já são quase 23:00. Stellinha,acho melhor a gente ir pra casa,se você não for dormir cedo,Papai Noel não vai te dar presente!
Stella 2-Corta essa Stella! Eu sou baixinha,não bebê. Sou só 1 ano mais nova que você,esqueceu?
Stella-tá bom,desculpa. Mas,vamos logo,antes que minha mãe resolva me ligar,senão nós duas ficamos de castigo amanhã!
Wen-até amanha Stellas!

Cheguei em casa,e não demorei muito a dormir. E,adivinhem como eu acordei no dia 25 de Dezembro? Isso mesmo: com a Stella gritando. Isso já começou a virar rotina,eu acho. Mas,dessa vez foi por uma boa causa.

Stella- ACOOOOOOOOOORDA GAROTA!
Stella 2-que foi dessa vez? O fim do mundo,ou uma chuva de meteoritos?
Stella-Qual estação é no Brasil agora?
Stella 2-voce me acordou as 7 da manhã pra me perguntar uma coisa que você pode descobrir na internet?

Stella 2 POV.

Mereço né? dia 24 de Dezembro. Já se passaram 24 dias desde que nós decidimos participar da festa de Natal da escola. Nós ensaiamos 2 músicas pra apresentar lá: uma versão um pouco mais "Rock'n'roll" de Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree,e um cover de Jingle Bells: A Hip Hop Carol,do Kyle Massey (Obviamente,foi o Wen que escolheu essa). Nós compramos uma árvore de Natal pra colocar na sala da detenção (que,como eu já devo ter dito,é onde a gente ensaia lá na escola),a 1 semana,e decoramos com alguns enfeites em forma de limões,guitarras,baixos,teclados,microfones.... E claro,só porque eu sou a mais baixinha (isso é bullying comigo,tá galera?) eu subi no ombro do Wen,e coloquei a estrela no topo da árvore. Mas,voltando ao que eu realmente queria dizer,pela segunda vez no mês,eu fui acordada aos gritos pela Stella (Acho já estou até me acostumando!) , as 6:00 da manhã. Nós já estamos no começo do Winter Break,por isso eu estou aproveitando pra acordar mais tarde esses dias. Enfim,a Stella me arrastou lá pra baixo,pra gente tomar café da manhã. O bom disso tudo é que,quando você tem tios que comem carne,e uma prima vegetariana MALUCA ,ela sempre faz o café da manhã. E,sim,eu escrevi maluca em negrito,pelo seguinte motivo:

É. Eu tipo,encontrei isso na mesa quando cheguei. Sei lá,acho que a Stella tipo,ama o Natal tanto quanto ama brócolis.
Logo depois que a gente comeu,nos encontramos na frente do Dante's com Wen,Olivia,Chralie e Mo,pra ir pra escola ajudar a terminar as decorações,e fazer os últimos ajustes nas músicas.

Stella 2 POV.

Gosh,I deserve it? December 24. It's been 24 days since we decided to attend the Christmas party school. We rehearsed two songs to perform there: a bit more "rock'n'roll" version of Rockin 'Around The Christmas Tree, and a cover of Jingle Bells: A Hip Hop Carol,by Kyle Massey (Obviously, Wen chose this). We bought a Christmas tree to put in the detention room (which, as I should have said, is where we rehearse at school), 1 week ago,and decorate it with some ornaments shaped like lemons, guitars, basses, keyboards, microphones .... Of course, just because I'm the shorty one from the band (you're bullying me, okay guys?) I climbed on Wen's shoulder, and placed the star at the top of the tree. But back to what I really wanted to say, for the second time in a month, I was awakened by Stella screaming in my ear (I'm already getting used to it !), at 6:00 AM. We're already at the beginning of Winter Break, so I'm taking advantage to wake up later these days. Anyway, Stella pulled me downstairs, so we can have breakfast. The good thing about this is that when you have uncles who eat meat and a CRAZY vegetarian cousin she always makes breakfast. And yes, I wrote crazy in bold, for the following reason:

Yeah. I kind of, found that on the table when I arrived. I dunno, I think that Stella , loves Christmas as much as she loves broccoli.
Soon after we ate, we met in front of Dante's with Wen, Olivia, Mo and Chralie, to go to school help finish the decorations, and make the final adjustments on the songs.

17:30 da tarde. Wen,Mo,e Charlie chegaram na casa da Stella,e nós fomos pro quintal ensaiar.

Mo-ok,o que vocês acham da gente ensaiar Determinate? acho que tem algumas coisas pra acertar na música.
Stella 2-sei lá,vocês ficaram sabendo da festa de natal da escola?
Olivia-é,eu sei. É uma festinha de natal que os veteranos organizam todo ano uma semana antes do Winter Break. Tem apresentações de algumas pessoas e comida de graça. E a gente perde 1 dia de aula pra organizar tudo.
Wen-olha,eu não sei se é bem aí que a Stellinha quer chegar,mas se ela tá sugerindo que a gente participe da apresentação de natal,eu topo!
Stella-Eu curti a ideia também. Quer dizer,porque não?
Mo-Pode ser,tanto faz pra mim.
Olivia-se todo mundo concorda,eu topo também!
Stella 2-Wen,que bom que você me entendeu antes de eu precisar explicar. Você sabe como ninguém reconhecer boas ideias!
Wen- Olhem só! Alguém aqui soube reconhecer minha genialidade,finalmente! Toca aqui,baixinha!
Stella-É claro Wen. Porque até hoje,nem a sua própria namorada reconheceu sua genialidade!
Wen-não vai falar nada não,Olivia?
Olivia-Então... Pelo menos você é bonitinho,né amor?

Eu,Stella,Charlie e Mo caímos na risada,enquanto o Wen olhou com cara brava primeiro pra Olivia,e depois pra nós quatro.

Wen- Ha ha ha. Olha a minha cara de quem achou isso engraçado!
Stella- Ahh Wen,deixa de ser chato!
Mo-É,cadê seu espírito natalino? -disse Mo rindo-
Wen-Até tu Mo? Logo você que sempre é contra as piadinhas de mau gosto?
Mo-desculpa,Wen,mas é que essa foi muito engraçada!
Stella 2-calma galera,que faltou o Charlie falar se ele topa ou não a apresentação na festa de natal!
Stella-e aí Charlie,sim ou não?

5:30 p.m. Wen, Mo and Charlie arrived at Stella's house, and we went the backyard to rehearse.

Mo-okguys, what do you think of reahearsing Determinate? I think we have some things to fix in the song.
Stella 2-whatever, did you guys heard about the christmas party that will happen at friday at school?
Olivia- yes,yes, I know.I heard about it. It's a little party that the veterans organize every year a week before the Winter Break. Have presentations from some people and free food. And we lose 1 day of class to organize everything.

Wen-look, I don't know if  that is right where Lil' Stella want to go, but if she's suggesting that we should join in the presentation of Christmas party, I agree!
Stella-I enjoyed the idea too. I mean, why not?
Mo-Ok, whatever for me.
Olivia-if everyone agrees, I'm up too!
Stella 2-Wen, glad you got me before I could explain. You know like anybody how to recognize good ideas!
Wen-Look at that! Finally someone here was  able to recognize that i'm genius ! High five, shorty!
Stella- Wen,course. Because until today,not even your own girlfriend recognized that you're a 'genius'!
Wen-You're not going to say anything, Olivia?
Olivia-So ... At least you're cute, right love?

Me, Stella, Charlie and Mo started laughing, while Wen looked with a rage face to Olivia first, and then to four of us.

Wen-Ha ha ha. Look at how funny i found it!
Stella- AhhWen, stop being boring!
Mo-Yeah, where is your Christmas spirit? -Mo said laughing-
Wen-Even you Mo? you're always against all this no-funny jokes!
Mo-Sorry Wen, but that was very funny!
Stella 2-Shhh guys! we still need to know if Charlie agrees about the christmas party presentation!

dia 1º de Dezembro. Ahh,como eu amo Dezembro. Daqui a 24 dias,é Natal. A única coisa chata,é que em Dezembro não tem férias da escola aqui nos EUA. Só temos um pequeno período sem aula chamado "winter break". Mas,enfim... Já se passaram algumas semanas desde o Baile,e,nada do Brenigan mudar o resultado da eleição,nada de protestos pela escola,a Stella continua estranha,ela e o Ray não tentam estrangular um ao outro desde então.... Mas,bem,voltando ao que interessa,)6:30 da manhã. fui acordada as 06:30 da manhã de um domingo, D-O-M-I-N-G-O com a  Stella tocando "rockin' around the christmas tree" no último volume na guitarra, e a Olivia gritando a música no meu ouvido,falando que a gente tinha que ir arrumar a decoração de Natal,ou alguma coisa assim,sei lá. Olivia tinha dormido lá na casa da Stella,e disse que ia decorar a casa dela só a noite,com a avó.

Stella 2-nossa,valeu aí por estourarem meus tímpanos as 06:30 da manhã,e me fazerem quebrar todos os ossos do meu corpo caíndo da cama.
Stella-por nada! agora levanta aí da cam... Quer dizer,levnata aí do chão,e vamos descer pra rrumar a decoração de Natal antes que os pirralhos dos meus irmãos acordem e resolvam montar decorações róboticas,ou sei lá o que.
Olivia-antes,que você me culpe,a ideia brilhante foi da sua prima aí.
Stella 2-imgainei.

Então,nós 3 descemos,e enfeitamos a recém-comprada árvore de Natal,colocamos pisca-piscas pela casa,e um monte de outras coisas natalinas.
Stella 2- nada que valesse tanto a pena me acordar as 06:30 da manhã com guitarras no último volume.
Stella-Ahhh,deixa de ser chata,foi uma ideia genial! Pelo menos eu toquei uma música de Natal no último volume. Me agradeça por eu não ter tocado nenhuma música do Iron Maiden,ou algo assim. Eu poderia ter feito isso.
Stella 2-e eu teria te jogado da janela do quarto se você tivesse feito isso!

Stella 2 POV.
December 1st  . Ahh, how I love December. Christmas is in 24 days!  The only annoying thing is that,here in the USA we don't have  December vacation,as we have in Brazil. We only have a short period with no class called "winter break". But anyway ... It's been a few weeks since the dance, and Brenigan didn't change the result of the election, no protests around the school, Stella continues acting strange, she and Ray did not try to kill each other since the dance .... But, well, back to the point, 6:30 am. I was awakened at 06:30 am on a Sunday, SUNDAY with Stella playing "rockin 'around the christmas tree" at full volume on the guitar, and Olivia screaming in my ear, saying that we had to go fix the Christmas decoration, or something, I dunno. Olivia had slept there at  Stella's house, and said she would decorate her house later with her ​​grandmother.

Stella  2-thanks for bursting my eardrums at 06:30 am, and make me break every bone in my body falling down the bed.
Stella- Your Welcome! now get up from the bed... I mean, get up from the ground, and let's go there to fix the Christmas decorations before  my brothers wake up and start building  robotic christmas decorations, or whatever .
Olivia-before you blame me, the brilliant idea of waking you up,was from your  cousin there.
Stella 2-I tought so.

So we went down stairs and we decorated the Christmas tree, and a lot of other festive things.

Stella 2 - nothing that was worth waking me up at 06:30 am with guitars in the last volume
Stella-Ahhh, stop being boring, it was a brilliant idea! At least I played a Christmas Song in the last volume. Thank me for having not played any music of Iron Maiden or something. I could have done it
Stella-2 and I would have thrown you out of the bedroom window if you had done it!
